John Favalo, Managing Partner for Group B2B at Eric Mower and Associates (EMA), received the prestigious G.D. Crain Award at the 2010 National Business Marketing Association (BMA) Conference on Wednesday in Chicago. The award is given in honor of G.D. Crain Jr., founder of Crain Communications, which publishes Advertising Age and BtoB magazines.
“John is an exceptional leader whose passion for business-to-business marketing is evidenced in his industry involvement and by his successful career at one of the most respected firms in the business,” said BMA Executive Director Patrick Farrey. “John is well deserving of this award.”
The G.D. Crain Award recognizes a BMA member for career achievement in business-to-business marketing communications and exceptional service to the BMA. It carries with it election to the BMA Hall of Fame and an honorarium from the Crain Foundation.
Favalo has served as Chairman, Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Business Marketing Association International. He has also served as member of the agency and media advisory board for American Business Media and business-to-business panel member for the Association of National Advertisers. At EMA, a full-service marketing communications agency, he guides the strategic and business development of Group B2B.
Last year, EMA was named runner-up in the midsize agency category in BtoB magazine’s Top Agency Special Report. BtoB has also recognized Favalo as a “Who's Who in BtoB” for the past four years.
For more than 80 years, the Business Marketing Association has been the pre-eminent service organization for professionals in the b-to-b marketing communications industry, connecting its members with education, training and professional development.
