Mower is a proud sponsor of the virtual Women of Color Summit 2022, a dynamic professional development conference offering an opportunity to engage with a national audience in discussions addressing systemic barriers, inequities and disparities for women of color. This year’s theme, Authenticity in Action: Restoration in Practice, will reflect the multiple experiences that have impacted women of color and the challenges they’ve faced over the last 24 months, and discuss how to move past performative efforts to advance racial equity to intentional, authentic actions, and to normalize and improve the opportunities to put restoration into practice.
This summit will provide an uplifting environment for, by and about women of color that promotes equity, education, and professional development. It will focus on and prioritize the voices and experiences of people who identify as women of color and also welcomes allies. Maggie Hooper, management supervisor at Mower, will participate in the July 28 session as a panelist.

The Women of Color Summit is an initiative led by Sara Taylor, community liaison and training specialist at Eleversity and Heritage Christian Services.
