EMA Earns Honors for Hotel and Hospitality Public Relations

NEW YORK, N.Y. — The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) recognized Eric Mower + Associates with multiple awards at the 60th annual Adrian Awards. HSMAI honored 2016’s outstanding work in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing. Earning both a Silver and Bronze for its public relations efforts, EMA’s work was selected from a field of more than 1,300 entries and judged by senior industry and media experts.

EMA’s Déjà Vu Wedding initiative received a Silver award in the Online Feature Placement category. After hearing the unique story of a bride looking to recreate her parents’ wedding from 36 years earlier, EMA facilitated an interview with BridalGuide.com. The couple’s one-of-a-kind story landed a stellar placement and generated “real wedding” exposure that drove meaningful business to the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa.

EMA also took home a Bronze Adrian Award in the Television Feature Placement category for its work on a segment for celebrity chef Beau MacMillan on CBS’s The Dish. Reaching a national broadcast audience of over two million viewers and receiving an additional 90 million online impressions, the interview positioned Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa as a premier destination for top-notch dining. EMA was heavily involved in pre-production — providing assets, talking points, and biographies and sharing Chef MacMillan’s professional journey to become a Food Network star and executive chef at elements — details the agency knew would speak to a national audience interested in luxury travel and dining.
