Agency-wide promotions fortify Mower’s position among leading independent marketing communications firms

Mower, one of the nation’s leading independent marketing, advertising and PR firms, has reached 2021’s midpoint in a strong position for growth, bolstered by as many as 29 internal promotions and a more robust leadership structure for its PR & PA Group. “The pace of advancements in the first half of the year really speaks to the breadth and depth of talent across Mower,” said Stephanie Crockett, president and chief operating officer. “It also recognizes the agility, creativity and commitment exhibited by our people at every level that helped steer the agency and our clients through last year’s unprecedented global challenges.” A 17-year Mower veteran, Crockett herself assumed the president’s title last month from founder Eric Mower, who remains the agency’s chairman and chief executive officer.

PR & PA Group refines leadership structure

Rick Lyke, APR OMCP, continues to head Mower’s PR & PA Group as executive vice president for public relations and public affairs, adding leadership of the Charlotte, N.C., market to his responsibilities. Mary Gendron has assumed leadership of the public relations function, as senior vice president, director of public relations while John Lacey continues to head the public affairs team with the new title senior vice president, director of public affairs. Rounding out the PR & PA leadership team is Gary Holmes, who joined Mower earlier this month as vice president, director of public relations and public affairs.
