Does Mower offer internships? You bet. In fact, internships are available across many of the disciplines within the agency. But be warned: we get a fair number of applications, so be creative and give us a good idea of who you are and where you want to go.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to join our dynamic team. This role is virtual is perfect for someone passionate about storytelling, earned media, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience in public relations, media outreach, and campaign development while working alongside experienced PR professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in drafting press releases, pitches and other written materials.
- Conduct research on media outlets, journalists, and industry trends to identify PR opportunities.
- Assist in maintaining and updating media lists and monitoring media coverage.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative ideas for campaigns and client initiatives.
- Contribute to the creation and scheduling of social media content (experience a plus).
- Help with administrative tasks and other team projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail (a writing sample may be requested).
- Passion for public relations and earned media, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a true team player.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital trends (experience in social media content creation is a bonus).
- Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a relevant program (e.g., Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing).

Here at Mower, we expect interns to be proactive, responsible, professional, engaged, and enthusiastic about the opportunity. To be eligible you must be currently enrolled in an accredited college and have completed at least your sophomore year. Unfortunately, we cannot accept candidates that have graduated or are soon to be graduates.
Salary Range: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
