AVANGRID is dedicated to providing top-notch energy service to their customers, so when it came time to begin installing smart meters across their service areas, they turned to Mower to help spread the word.
While AVANGRID was excited to unveil their new smart meter program, they also recognized customers would have questions, and even concerns, about the new technology. To get ahead of these preconceived ideas and show customers the benefits of smart meters, Mower developed a campaign focusing on four main advantages of smart meters: automatic meter reads, outage alerts, energy management and accurate billing.
To inform and build anticipation for smart meter installations, we connected with customers through broadcast TV, radio, social media, digital banners and print to show them what to expect while encouraging them to learn more online and at open houses. While each piece focused on a different benefit, they reminded customers of the same key message throughout—smart is easy.
