Next month we’re heading to Las Vegas for the Financial Brand Forum, one of our favorite events of the year! It consistently brings together some of the smartest thinkers in banking, marketing and customer experience, along with real-world case studies from institutions that are pushing the industry forward.

The hallway conversations are just as beneficial as the sessions. Financial marketers are facing rapid change, from evolving customer expectations to new technology and competitive pressures. The Forum is always a great place to hear what people are testing, what is working and where the industry may be headed next.

Here are a few of the topics we are especially interested in this year:

1. Turning Everyday Banking Into Memorable Experiences
In a world where rates and products are easily matched, experience is one of the few true differentiators. We are excited to hear hospitality expert and author Will Guidara talk about how organizations create moments that customers actually remember. Financial institutions may not operate like luxury restaurants, but the idea of intentional, human-centered service has enormous potential in banking.

2. Building Financial Brands That Actually Stand Out
Too many financial institutions still rely on product features and promotional rates to compete. But the strongest brands win because they connect emotionally and clearly communicate what they stand for. Several sessions this year will explore the psychology behind brand preference and how banks and credit unions can build stronger, more distinctive brands.

3. Bold Marketing in “Boring” Categories

Financial services is not always known for bold marketing. That is exactly why creativity matters. The Forum X talks often showcase brands that break through with unexpected ideas, strong storytelling and a willingness to challenge industry norms. For financial marketers, these examples are a reminder that great marketing principles apply in every category.

4. AI That Actually Helps Marketers Do Their Jobs
AI will certainly be part of the conversation again this year, but the focus is becoming more practical. Instead of hype, we are interested in how marketing teams are using AI tools to work faster, generate insights and deliver more relevant customer experiences while still maintaining a strong human voice.

See You There

With thousands of banking leaders attending, the Financial Brand Forum is always an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas. If you will be there, let us know! We would love to connect between sessions or over coffee.
