Upstate New York Business Journal Ranks EMA #1

Eric Mower and Associates ranked first among Western New York advertising agencies in Buffalo Business First’s 2010 listings, the first time in 20 years the agency won the top designation.

“This distinction reflects a year of hard work and great accomplishment on the part of our employees,” said EMA Managing Partner Doug Bean. “It’s a great honor that we hope will become an annual tradition as we continue to grow and build stronger relationships with our current clients and those to come.”

The Buffalo Business First ranking is based on 2009 gross advertising income. Despite a challenging economy last year, EMA’s Buffalo office grew its top line 15 percent through integrated communications work in public relations and public affairs, advertising and media services. To qualify for the annual Buffalo Business First list, agencies are required to submit audited numbers from certified public accountants.

EMA opened its Buffalo office in 1990 after combining with Levy, King & White and in 1999, combined with another Buffalo agency, Mitchell, DeTine & Neiler. Currently, there are 39 professionals in the Buffalo office, making it the second largest among the agency’s eight locations.
