EMA’s Valerie Hill Earns Status as Certified Tablet Marketing Pro

Valerie Hill, director of Studio Services at Eric Mower and Associates, has earned the eMedia Professional Certification, adding another element to EMA’s expertise in ePad tablet marketing.

Hill earned the distinction after completing a four-month long training program through Idealliance, a nonprofit dedicated towards advancing best practices in information technology and publishing. The program comprised cross-media strategy, XML tools, content management, publishing standards and other related fields. The certification is designed to help advertisers be better able to design, specify and work with the systems and technologies essential to eMedia publishing.

“We are better able to build interactive, engaging PDFs and design brochures, catalogues and magazines for tablets. Features like embedded animation, links and videos give the reader a more engaging hands-on experience,” Hill said. “It will also help us bring more value to our clients by making their content more searchable and easier to organize and share within their channels.”

Technological innovations have made tablet marketing one of the most rapidly growing fields. According to Forrester, the overwhelming majority of tablets sold through 2012 will be iPads, a trend that is anticipated to continue.
