ALBANY, N.Y. – PRWeek featured EMA Partner and Director of Public Affairs Sean Casey on the public relations scene in New York State’s capital for the May issue’s “City Spotlight.” PRWeek is the leading journal for the public relations and communications industry. The monthly spotlight delves into what it’s like to work as a PR professional in cities across the world.
PRWeek reported that the presence of the government sets the pace and competition for PR professionals who live and work in Albany. Casey said there is no shortage of amazing talent, as firms compete with the highly skilled and intelligent communications specialists accustomed to the fast pace of the legislature.
In the article, Casey described Albany as “a city with great character made up of great characters.” Buildings being repurposed for housing and businesses morphing to reflect the city-dwellers are an attractive draw for communications specialists, Casey says. “As a group, we like to watch this sort of thing because with it comes great stories to be told and experienced.”
