Syracuse, NY – Mower, one of the largest independent marketing, advertising and public relations agencies in the U.S., announced three new hires in its Syracuse office.
Melissa Kerwin joins as Strategist, Paid Search and Paid Social
Kerwin, a digital media expert with a passion for data and emerging media, returns to Central New York after attending Georgia State University and starting her professional career in the Atlanta area. Prior to joining Mower, Kerwin served as an associate media director with Cardinal Digital Marketing and as an e-commerce, direct response account manager at adMixt. Kerwin and team are responsible for providing strategy and executing paid search and social efforts.
Richard Merrill joins as Account Director
Merrill brings a wealth of integrated marketing experience to the agency. The Syracuse University alumnus’ experience spans overseeing advertising, branding, creative and content, digital and app development, event promotions, partnership marketing, strategy, TV/radio/video production and more. Before joining Mower, Merrill served as a director, marketing with NASCAR. Prior to that, he was an account supervisor with J. Walter Thompson (JWT). Merrill earned his Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and is currently an adjunct professor at Daytona State College’s School of Business.
Lisa Lazzaro returns as Director, Web Development
Lazzaro, who originally joined Mower as a senior interactive developer in 2009, rejoins the agency after serving as a software engineer with Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. An experienced back-end developer with a background in information, architecture and training, Lazzaro’s new role includes setting coding, QA and process standards for Mower’s development work. A graduate of Binghamton University, Lazzaro also holds a master’s degree from the State University of New York College at Oswego.
