EMA’s Steve Bell Blogs for PRWeek about Crisis Communications

Steve Bell, partner and director of Public Affairs at Eric Mower + Associates, is this week’s featured industry expert guest blogger for PRWeek’s Insider blog. Bell’s entries focus on crisis communications and reputation management.

Bell’s first post, “Handling a crisis effectively is so easy, so why do CEOs fail?” runs today. It explores how business leaders continue to scar their reputations by not preparing or following crisis management plans. His other blogs will appear this Wednesday and Friday.

Bell writes his own blog, Steve on Crisis, about crisis management and mismanagement in the digital age. He writes about top brands, leading companies and public figures who are facing crisis, analyzes how they respond and offers his expert point of view.

At EMA, Bell counsels clients on policy, media relations, crisis management, community and regulatory matters, and public relations. He has worked on some of New York State’s most high-profile crisis management assignments on issues surrounding healthcare, gaming, taxes, education and the law. Before that, Bell spent 30 years as a journalist for the Associated Press and in four top editor positions at The Buffalo News, including editorial page editor.
