EMA’s Social Media Strategist Presents on Social Networking for Small Businesses at Onondaga Community College

Eric Mower and Associates’ (EMA) Social Media Strategist/Content Developer Matt Hames (Twitter.com/mhames) leads a presentation today at Onondaga Community College’s Small Business Development Center on how small business owners can incorporate social networking as part of their business plans.

The Small Business Development Center assists start-up and existing entrepreneurs with business plan development, marketing, financial management and more. Hames’ presentation to people who are starting or already own a small business is part of the center’s annual training session.

“Social media offers another outlet for small businesses to interact with their customers while showcasing their expertise and solutions,” said Hames. “As the landscape evolves into GPS-located, handheld devices, a business’ whole social media platform is now mobile so that customers can interact at any time.”

As social media strategist, Hames works with EMA clients to develop effective Web 2.0 programs that allow consumers to connect with brands. He helps ensure that brands are moving their customer relationships forward by using social networks to their full advantage.
