EMA’s Mary Gendron Featured in Hotel Business Review

Eric Mower + Associates Senior Vice President and Managing Director Mary Gendron was featured in the Hotel Business Review journal. In “5 Ways Hotel Spas Guide the Frequent Traveler’s Quest for Wellbeing,” Gendron details how travel-worn Baby Boomers seeking healthy habits promoting longevity and Millennial business travelers — who are expected to account for almost 50% of business travel spending by 2020 — incorporating “bleisure” (business travel that includes elements of fun) into their trips  have sparked a spa evolution.

In the article, Gendron notes while society increasingly applauds speed, performance and productivity, “wellbeing” is more than a passing notion. “While in the past, relief might have come from splurging on dessert or an after-dinner drink, today, it is a more mindful effort with the focus on developing habits that will more likely promote healthy longevity.”

The Hotel Business Review journal is a leading resource for hotel executives, providing best practices in hotel management and operations.
