EMA’s Mary Gendron Featured in Hotel Business Review

In “5 Ways Hotel Spas Guide the Frequent Traveler’s Quest for Wellbeing,” Gendron details how travel-worn Baby Boomers seeking healthy habits promoting longevity and Millennial business travelers — who are expected to account for almost 50% of business travel spending by 2020 — incorporating “bleisure” (business travel that includes elements of fun) into their trips  have sparked a spa evolution.

In the article, Gendron notes while society increasingly applauds speed, performance and productivity, “wellbeing” is more than a passing notion. “While in the past, relief might have come from splurging on dessert or an after-dinner drink, today, it is a more mindful effort with the focus on developing habits that will more likely promote healthy longevity.”
