EMA’s Jenny Lesczinski Helps Small Businesses Learn How to Engage in the Social Media Craze

Jenny Lesczinski, a public relations account executive at Eric Mower + Associates, presented today at a Small Business Council of Rochester event designed to help local companies understand how social media can help them increase visibility and nurture customer relationships. She discussed ways to effectively choose social media platforms, develop engaging content, and authentically connect with audiences.

“Successful small businesses have long thrived on word-of-mouth to help promote their company, and social media can significantly enhance this effect. The impact of social media goes far beyond just increasing visibility,” said Lesczinski. “Social media can help to build lasting relationships, which can result in vocal, visible customer advocates for a company’s products and services.”

Lesczinski presented an overview of effective social media strategies, criteria for selecting a social media platform, tips for using an online presence to reflect the company’s brand, and best practices for content creation. She also shared case studies and real-world examples from local small businesses.

The event is part of the Small Business Council of Rochester’s Boot Camp Seminar Series, an educational program that provides small business employers and employees with the skills and knowledge to foster individual and organizational growth. Each program features experts from local companies on topics such as marketing, management, IT and accounting.
