Kodak and Eric Mower + Associates earned two 2013 PRism Awards, including Best of Show in the Corporate category, from the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) for a global campaign publicizing Kodak’s participation at the drupa trade show. Drupa is a quadrennial exhibition for the graphic communications industry and one of the largest b-to-b trade shows.
Designed to position Kodak as a “must-see” stand at drupa, the program focused on Kodak’s nine product launches, emphasized its industry partnerships, and spotlighted customers using Kodak’s solutions to produce innovative applications and grow their businesses.
“Our success at drupa in many ways marked a turning point for Kodak and our public relations program was a key part of that effort,” said Nancy Carr, Worldwide Public Relations, Kodak. “EMA played an essential role by working with our team on the strategic development and implementation of this multi-faceted PR program.”
The campaign included pre- and post-event media relations in each region, interviews at drupa with Kodak executives and more than 70 journalists from around the world, and a multilingual “K-Zone Theatre” at Kodak’s stand that featured customer interviews, panel discussions and award presentations. In addition, a drupa landing page on Kodak’s website included written and video customer case studies in various languages.
“Kodak and EMA have collaborated on a number of award-winning public relations programs over the years and it’s rewarding to see the drupa campaign recognized for its excellence by our peers,” said Brad Rye, Senior Partner, EMA. “We appreciated the opportunity to work with the Kodak PR team on drupa and look forward to partnering on successful programs in the future.”
In addition to the Best of Show Award, the drupa campaign won a PRism Award in the Business-to-Business Communications category. Earlier this year, the drupa campaign earned a Global Advertising Creative Excellence Award from the Business Marketing Association of New York City and a Magellan Award in the B2B communications category from the League of American Communications Professionals.
The annual Rochester PRism awards competition recognizes exceptional public relations programs and tactical elements that incorporate sound research, planning, execution and evaluation. The Business-to-Business Communications category honors programs that successfully promote a new or existing product or service to a business audience.
