EMA Promotes Seven to Senior Partner

Eric Mower and Associates, one of the top U.S. independent marketing communications agencies, has promoted seven people from four of its seven offices to senior partner: Dave Bulger, Andres Echenique, Jim Henderson, Lisa Huggins, Tom Merrick, Brad Rye and Kevin Tripodi.

Dave Bulger is director of EMA Insight, EMA’s agency-wide insight, strategy and planning group. In this role, he helps clients achieve lasting returns in their customer relationships by focusing on quickly identifying customer/prospect attitudes, behaviors and perceptions, then accelerating desired behavior changes by creating conversations that enhance customer loyalty and speed up desired purchase behaviors. An expert in behavioral, direct and relationship marketing with nearly two decades of experience, Bulger has helped premier brands in various industries attract, nurture and retain their most valuable customers. In 1994, he founded MicroMass Communications, a pioneering one-to-one marketing solutions company. Bulger resides in Baldwinsville, N.Y.

Andres Echenique drives digital strategies and perspectives into marketing services across the agency. In particular, he provides strategic guidance for clients seeking relationship marketing solutions and supervises their design, development, and operation. With more than 20 years of experience in online marketing, software development and technology consulting, He works with clients in a broad range of business-to-business and consumer categories. Echenique earned a bachelor’s from Colgate University and is a graduate of the Greater Boston Executive Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He resides in Manlius, N.Y.

Jim Henderson is responsible for digital technologies and architectures to support EMA’s marketing solutions, overseeing everything from network strategy to software implementation and training to email, database and system consulting. He has extensive experience in computer programming, systems design and Internet usability. A resident of DeWitt, N.Y., Henderson earned a bachelor’s from LeMoyne College. He is a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse and past board member for the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce.

Lisa Huggins is director of client services at EMA in Atlanta. Her broad experience encompasses advertising and integrated marketing across various consumer and business-to-business categories, from consumer packaged goods and retail to medical products and telecommunications systems. For more than eight years, Huggins has managed client services in EMA’s Atlanta office and plays a leading role in many key client relationships. Huggins is a board member for the Atlanta Council of the 4A’s (American Association of Advertising Agencies), as well as a member of the Promotion Marketing Association and In-Store Marketing Association. She is the recipient of numerous creative and marketing excellence awards, and actively supports Special Olympics Georgia. Huggins, who resides in Marietta, Ga., earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University.

Tom Merrick is a creative director for with more than 20 years’ experience creating work for consumer and business-to-business clients, mostly out of EMA’s Syracuse and Buffalo offices. Merrick has worked across a vast spectrum of industries—high-tech, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, professional services, non-profits, theaters, casinos, restaurant chains, consumer goods—and is the recipient of numerous industry awards. A resident of Baldwinsville, he earned a bachelor’s from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He is also the front man of EMA’s corporate band, Crankdaddy.

Brad Rye, who joined EMA in 1997, is general manager of EMA’s Rochester office. He supervises the development, strategic planning and execution of agency work for a variety of EMA’s key business-to-business accounts. Rye is board president of Mind, Body, Soul, a board member for Action for a Better Community, and past board president and member of the Rochester Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. He is a graduate of Leadership Rochester and recipient of the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, as well as numerous industry awards. Rye resides in Webster, N.Y., and earned a bachelor’s from Northwood University.

Kevin Tripodi is the creative director for EMA Group B2B and is involved in the development of all creative work produced in EMA’s Syracuse office. With EMA since 1987, he has experience in a wide scope of business-to-business categories—semiconductor to construction, medical to transportation, graphic arts to electrical—and is the recipient of numerous industry awards. Tripodi, a resident of Onondaga Hill, N.Y., earned a bachelor’s from the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.
