Plug Power, a leading provider of clean, reliable on-site energy solutions, retained Eric Mower and Associates (EMA) to assist with the development of Plug’s first corporate sustainability report. The report highlights Plug Power’s continuing commitment to operate its business in an environmentally, financially and socially sustainable manner using practical business solutions.
“Plug Power’s sustainability report strongly affirms the principles and practices that guide Plug and make it a stronger company for its shareholders, customers, employees and the community as a whole,” said Robert Bellafiore, EMA senior partner and partner-in-charge of the firm’s Albany office. “We are proud to have worked with Plug as it communicates its corporate values to the public.
Plug Power hired EMA to assist with research, message development and communications strategies for the sustainability report, as well as graphic design and presentation strategies.
Corporate sustainability reports communicate a company’s long-term plans for meeting and integrating existing environmental, economic and social needs in every aspect of its operations without compromising the well-being of future generations. Plug’s efforts in this area were supported by recently retired President and CEO Roger Saillant.
“EMA worked with us to build an effective and environmentally responsible communications strategy for our first sustainability report,” Mr. Saillant said. “Their help enabled us to develop and deliver the report in a way that clearly demonstrates how our collective commitment and transparent reporting will strengthen both our business and sustainability initiatives. Ultimately, this will move us towards a more secure, profitable and sustainable business.”
“As part of my introduction to Plug Power, this report gives me a headstart on understanding the company. I am very impressed with content and the presentation.” said Andy Marsh, who was named President and CEO of Plug Power on April 7.
EMA’s client list includes numerous companies that are heavily involved in alternative and renewable energy, as well as environmental stewardship. Those include Brookfield Renewable Power, Noble Environmental Power, Nucor, Catalyst Renewables, Iberdrola S.A., the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and others.
