EMA Names Matt Ferguson Senior Partner

Eric Mower and Associates (EMA) promoted Matt Ferguson to senior partner and partner-in-charge of the agency’s Charlotte office.

In his new role, Ferguson will work collaboratively with other Charlotte based partners in managing the day-to-day operations of the office and will continue to provide strategic leadership to the agency’s clients. He succeeds Tom Eppes, who will complete the transition of his responsibilities at the end of 2009.

Eppes, who will provide counsel to the agency during 2009, is nearing completion of the successful 5-year integration of his agency, PriceMcNabb, into Eric Mower and Associates. Eppes joined PriceMcNabb’s management team in 1985 with responsibility for building the firm’s public relations practice and ultimately became President and then owner of the agency. His firm combined with EMA in July 2004.

Ferguson, who has been a partner in the firm since January 2006, has more than 15 years of integrated marketing and communications experience in a variety of industries, including travel/tourism, real estate development, corporate branding, building and construction, industrial products and luxury goods. His previous career experience includes strategic integrated marketing for the Walt Disney Co., where he led national advertising efforts for Disney’s Wide World of Sports and the Walt Disney World Brand, among other roles.

Ferguson earned a bachelor’s degree in communication with a concentration in advertising from Florida State University. He is a member of the Florida State Seminoles Varsity Letterman’s Club (Football). He and his wife, Lori, have five children.
