The Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce has named Eric Mower and Associates (EMA) as the 2008 Business of the Year for companies employing more than 50. EMA was selected based on its record of business growth and innovation, adoption of new technologies, and commitment to the Central New York community.
“This spring will mark our CEO Eric Mower’s 40th anniversary with the agency, making this recognition especially rewarding,” said Chris Steenstra, senior partner and leader of EMA’s Syracuse office. “We have always had a strong commitment to community and look forward to continued growth in Central New York.”
EMA’s Syracuse office is the firm’s “center of excellence” for business-to-business marketing communications and is the base of operations for EMA Group B2B, which specializes in the delivery of effective marketing communications for business-to-business clients with extensive experience in building and construction, healthcare, graphic arts and imaging, and supply chain management. Group B2B clients include FedEx, Kodak, Motorola, Honeywell, Newell/Rubbermaid (BernzOmatic®, IRWIN® and Lenox® brands), Nucor Steel, CXtec, Pass & Seymour/Legrand, and Siemens E&A.
Founder Eric Mower first joined Silverman Advertising in 1968, when it was the 14th largest agency in Syracuse. Mower became Chairman and CEO in 1980 and since that time the agency has expanded to include seven offices along the East Coast. Regionally, EMA is among the top five independent agencies in the east. In addition, EMA is the only agency in the U.S. to rank in the annual “Top 100” lists of ADWEEK, Advertising Age, BtoB Magazine, PROMO and PRWeek.
