Eric Mower + Associates has won a top honor B2 Award in the Video Production category (under two minutes) from the Business Marketing Association for a series of “Really, Really Short Films” created for Domtar Paper.
The B2s are one of the most respected business-to-business marketing and communications competitions, recognizing innovation and excellence from top agencies and corporate marketers. This year, more than 800 entries were submitted in 27 categories and judged by more than 60 senior corporate marketers and leading b-to-b agency executives.
EMA created the satiric "Really, Really Short Films" to emphasize that even in today’s digitally oriented world, paper is still an important communications tool that can be produced and used in an environmentally responsible manner. The spots take a humorous look at office situations where the pressures to go paperless are taken to ridiculous lengths. The print ad series that supports the videos’ messages won an Award of Excellence in the Print Advertising category (full page, single).
EMA’s work for LENOX® Tools also earned Awards of Excellence in the Demand Generation and Microsite categories. For the LENOX SPEED SLOT™ Hole Saw product launch, EMA developed a program that included product sampling and a microsite to build awareness and trial among LENOX’s contractor audience.
Additionally, EMA won an Award of Excellence in the Public Relations category for Kodak’s launch of the Prosper press to the book publishing market.
“To be recognized within the industry is always an honor. But this year’s B2 Award wins reflect the success of EMA’s person-to-person approach,” said Chris Steenstra, managing partner at EMA. “When you present brands in a relevant, personal manner, you not only build business, you build relationships. This matters because it’s people who ultimately make business decisions. Whether it’s making people laugh or letting them virtually try a new product, we make people the focus of our b-to-b marketing.”
