EMA-Created Campaigns Recognized as “Best of the Best” by TED Magazine at NAED Conference

Two campaigns created by marketing communications firm Eric Mower and Associates (EMA) were recognized among the best by TED Magazine. EMA Group B2B clients Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S) and Fluke Corporation accepted 2009 TED Magazine “Best of the Best” marketing awards at the recent National Association of Electrical Distributors’ (NAED) AdVenture Sales & Marketing Conference in Chicago.

The annual “Best of the Best” awards honor marketing excellence and recognize creative electrical marketing campaigns. This year, more than 300 entries were voted on by a panel of marketing and industry experts.

Pass & Seymour/Legrand’s 2008 National Electrical Code® (NEC®) Adoption Support Mailing was a winner in the Direct Promotion category. The NEC included a requirement for Tamper-Resistant Receptacles to be installed in new homes. The P&S mailing, which was sent to 4,000 electrical inspectors to make them aware of the new Code requirement, included a product sample, product launch CD, support request letter, and materials from the National Electrical Manufacturers Association. With the advocacy assistance of electrical professionals, including the inspectors, nearly 25 states adopted the requirement intact as of Jan. 1, 2009.

Fluke Corporation’s Hidden Power Problems microsite was a winner in the Website category. The microsite featured a solutions configurator and lead capture translator program. It captured 4,000 contacts segmented by attitudinal profile, enabling Fluke to follow up with nurturing activities.
