EMA’ Bands “Jam for Bread” to Fight Hunger

There’s a hole left by hunger in Central New York. And four Eric Mower and Associates’ (EMA) in-house bands and EMA employees hope to help fill it with live music and generosity this weekend in downtown Syracuse.

The Tipp Hillbillies, John Cadley and the Lost Boys, Crankdaddy, and Brace—who perform everything from blues to country to rock ‘n’ roll—will jam at the Half Penny Pub on Saturday, Nov. 22, to help raise money for and awareness about hunger in the community. All proceeds from the cover charge will go directly to the Food Bank of Central New York, which will turn every $3 donation received into $30 worth of food to feed the region’s hungry. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the jamming starts at 9 p.m.

“The need for the Food Bank’s services is growing exponentially,” said EMA Partner/Creative Director Tom Merrick. “And although there are a number of ways people are cutting back, there are also a number of ways they can help, whether by food, monetary donations or volunteering. We at EMA hope to help the Food Bank spread that message.”
