EMA Band Ripe to Rock the Big Apple

They rocked. They rolled. And when the dust settled, they were voted in. Say hello to Crankdaddy — Eric Mower and Associates’ (EMA) in-house rock band and finalist set to perform at this year’s national Battle of the Ad Bands.

During an intense two-week online voting period, Crankdaddy earned enough votes from its fan base across the country to cement its place among six bands to compete in the Battle of the Ad Bands, the premiere event of this month’s Advertising Week in New York City. The finalists, which include bands from some of the world’s largest advertising agencies, will perform live at the famed Nokia Theatre in Times Square on Wednesday, Sept. 24, for a chance to be crowned ad band champion.

“We’re stoked,” said Crankdaddy vocalist and EMA Partner/Creative Director Tom Merrick. “The band has been practicing furiously, and our eye’s on the prize. We intend to represent EMA the only way we know how: With class. With dignity. And with very tight trousers.”
