Andrew Rush Joins EMA’s Public Affairs Practice

Eric Mower and Associates (EMA), an independent full-service marketing communications agency, today announced that Andrew Rush has joined the firm’s public affairs practice as a management supervisor.

Since May 2006, Mr. Rush has served as director of media services and public affairs for the New York State Bar Association, where he coordinated media relations for the nation’s largest voluntary state bar association. Prior to that, he was deputy press secretary to Gov. George Pataki, press secretary in the New York State Division of the Budget, director of government relations for the Manufacturers Association of Central New York and press secretary for state Sen. James Wright.

EMA’s public affairs practice focuses on communications for legislative, regulatory and policy matters; community relations and outreach; siting; crisis management; image building; and ongoing public relations. Subject specialties include renewable energy, health care, environmental matters, association communications, construction, education and manufacturing.

A native of Fulton, NY, Mr. Rush earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University at Albany, with minors in business administration and history. He lives in Albany.
