Senior Digital Media Strategist

Our Charlotte team is looking for a Sr. Digital Media Strategist (SDMS) with an ambition to help grow digital media and integration expertise and services across Mower. The SDMS will function as a go-to strategist and subject matter expert on best practices, current trends and relevant applications of digital media both internally and externally.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of strategy for digital media campaigns, including Digital Display, Programmatic, Native, Video, Paid Social, etc. working in partnership with the Search Marketing, Digital Strategy and Analytics teams
  • Oversee planning, execution and analytics planning and reporting of digital media/advertising campaigns
  • Be one of the media leaders who actively participate in in-person and virtual presentations to prospects and clients
  • Work in conjunction with account teams, digital strategy and analytics colleagues and creative teams to ensure that clients’ digital expectations are constantly being met and ultimately, exceeded
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client business goals and marketing objectives
  • Keep abreast of current trends, technologies and best practices relating to digital media, and consistently share these best practices internally and with clients
  • Act as a strategic advisor to ensure creative and account management teams are current on best practices for digital ad development and provide training and access to resources to these team members as needed
  • Prepare and present strategic media recommendations and best practices to client and agency management to continue to evolve our capabilities and guide future investments
  • Identify and provide solutions for ongoing internal process issues involving digital ad development, media planning, execution and measurement
  • Create consistency of digital media services, processes, tools and deliverables services across the agency

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing or supporting digital media accounts in an agency setting or in-house experience
  • Comfortable with creating presentations and presenting to prospects and clients (may involve travel)
  • Strong experience in digital media, working knowledge of television and radio broadcast print and other channels
  • Mastery of execution and activation sides of media
  • Strong negotiator with a good understanding of the buying side of the media business
  • Able to execute media strategy and planning with support from senior leadership
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to collaborate across an integrated team
  • Experience using Strata buying software a plus but not required
