EMA is currently seeking a freelance proofreader to fill in during the absence of the staff proofreader.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proofreading ads, brochures, sell sheets, banner ads, emails, blog posts and other marketing materials.


  • Ability to simultaneously check spelling, grammar, conformance to brand standards and design consistency, and ensure that job instructions were followed correctly.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance multiple jobs and deadlines.
  • Basic competence in standard office software (MS Outlook, MS Word, Adobe Reader or Acrobat)
  • Experience with the online proofing system preferred.
  • English or similar degree and advertising agency experience are pluses.

All proofreading is done online, so your location isn’t important. When proofing opportunities arise we will contact you in advance to see if you are available. On fill-in days you would need to be available from 8 to 5 ET.
