EMA’s Doug Bean Elected to Buffalo Zoo Board

BUFFALO, NY — Doug Bean, Chief Operating Officer at Eric Mower + Associates, has been elected to the Zoological Society of Buffalo‘s board of directors.
The board is responsible for the governance and financial oversight of the Zoological Society of Buffalo, which manages the Buffalo Zoo. Board members represent the Buffalo Zoo and serve as liaisons to government partners, corporations, area foundation and prospective donors.
As COO at EMA, Bean provides organizational leadership across the agency’s seven offices. He leads EMA’s Buffalo office and is a key leader of the agency’s nationally recognized Brand Promotion Group. His expertise encompasses banking, healthcare, packaged goods and economic development. His career with EMA spans more than 20 years.
Bean also serves on the boards for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership, Shea’s Performing Arts Center, The Buffalo Club and The Eastern Region Board of the 4A’s (American Association of Advertising Agencies) and is a member of the 4A’s Upstate New York Council. He is chair emeritus of the Dean’s Advisory Council at the University of Buffalo’s School of Management, where he is also an adjunct professor for the Executive MBA program.
