EMA Promotes Four to Managing Partner
SYRACUSE, NY — Eric Mower and Associates, one of the top U.S. independent marketing communications agencies, has promoted four people to managing partner: Tom Armentrout of Atlanta, Matt Ferguson of Charlotte, and Greg Loh and Chris Steenstra of Syracuse.
Tom Armentrout, who joined EMA in 1985, leads the agency’s Atlanta office. He has specialized expertise in public relations, brand promotion and consumer marketing, as well as extensive experience in entertainment and alliance partner marketing. Armentrout has earned multiple industry awards and recognition for outstanding marketing. He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Photo Marketing Association International, Promotion Marketing Association and High Museum of Art. Armentrout serves on the American Association of Advertising Agencies Account Management Forum. He is also Accredited in Public Relations from the PRSA, the industry’s only nationally recognized mark of distinction. Armentrout earned a bachelor’s from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He resides in Atlanta with his family.
Matt Ferguson leads EMA’s Charlotte office. He joined Price/McNabb in 2000 and EMA in 2004, when the two firms combined. Specializing in advertising, integrated marketing communications and branding, Ferguson has more than 20 years of marketing experience and expertise in industries ranging from high-end luxury products and tourism to restaurants and commodities. He has earned numerous industry awards and recognition for creative and marketing excellence. He is a board member for the American Association of Advertising Agencies Carolinas Council and Charlotte Regional Partnership for Economic Development. Ferguson earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Florida State University and resides in Charlotte, NC, with his family.
Greg Loh, who joined EMA in 1988, manages the agency’s Public Relations and Public Affairs group, working with a team of nearly 50 professionals across EMA’s seven offices. He has extensive experience in crisis communications, issues management, media training, public affairs and community relations, and a particularly strong background in environmental communications. Loh is an inductee in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications Professional Gallery, has earned several awards for his PR work and is Accredited in Public Relations from the PRSA, the industry’s only nationally recognized mark of distinction. He is a member of the executive committees of CenterState CEO and the United Way of Central New York., as well as a member of PRSA and the global PR network IPREX. Loh earned bachelor’s degrees from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Maxwell School of Citizenship, both at Syracuse University. He resides in Fayetteville, N.Y., with his family.
Chris Steenstra, who joined EMA in 1985, leads EMA’s Syracuse office. She also strategizes and oversees client marketing programs, integrating branding, advertising, direct response, interactive, sales promotion and public relations. Steenstra is a member of the Business Marketing Association; current volunteer consultant and past board chair for Vera House; secretary for the Armory Square Association; and past board vice president for Cornell Cooperative Extension. She is past recipient of Women in Business and 40 Under 40 awards in Syracuse, and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse. She has received numerous industry awards for marketing excellence, and has a particularly strong background in healthcare and medical marketing. Steenstra, who resides with her family in Baldwinsville, N.Y., earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
