SYRACUSE, N.Y.—March 8, 2022—Creative dynamos Ted Wahlberg and Andy Mamott have joined Mower’s senior leadership team, expanding the independent advertising, marketing and PR agency’s award-winning creative department, which has a strong foothold in the B2B space. Wahlberg has been named senior vice president – group creative director and Mamott has been appointed senior vice president – creative director. Both join from gyro, which recently integrated to form Merkle B2B.

“As a creative team, Ted and Andy have been arguably one of the most recognized and awarded players in B2B over the last decade,” said Mower’s Chief Creative Officer Doug Kamp, who worked with both as head of creative for gyro before joining Mower in 2019. “We have made strategic investments in our creative capabilities over the last few years that have reaped returns for clients and recognition for Mower—including Grand Prix in the 2021 The Drum Awards for B2B. We’re excited to unleash Ted and Andy’s visionary thinking and talents to the benefit of our clients.”

Ted Wahlberg, Senior Vice President – Group Creative Director
Wahlberg most recently managed creative and strategy for a wide range of B2B and B2B2C clients as executive creative director at gyro. To Mower’s roster of international clients Wahlberg will bring the same caliber of award-winning, emotionally impactful work that he produced for previous clients like Grainger, Grant Thornton, McCain, Transamerica, Republic Services and Ten-X. A copywriter at heart, he attributes much of his success to earlier gigs as a bartender, where he discovered a knack for uncovering audience insights in hopes of a tip. When Wahlberg isn’t helping brands tell good stories, he’s trying to convince his two teenage sons to hang out and play Warhammer at home in Denver, Colo.

Andy Mamott, Senior Vice President – Creative Director
Over the course of a 20-year career, which ultimately landed him in Chicago, Mamott’s professional life included breakthrough work for some of the nation’s top B2C and B2B agencies, including BBDO, FCB, Ogilvy and most recently gyro, where he was group creative director/art director and Wahlberg’s creative partner. Mamott’s work has been awarded by Communication Arts, The One Club, Luerzer’s Archive, The Drum, The Effie’s and the Addy’s. He discovered his passion for creative ideas at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where he studied both graphic design and art direction. In his spare time, Mamott enjoys photography and fishing, at least when they can be squeezed in between coaching his son’s travel baseball team or watching his daughter’s ballet recitals.
